Life In The Rain Forest

Picture
Rain forests are tremendously rich in animal life. Rain forests are populated with insects, arachnids, worms, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and mammals. Some adaptations found among mammals and birds (and reptiles and amphibians, too) include adaptations to a life in the trees, such as the prehensile tails, bright colors and sharp patterns, loud vocalizations, and diets heavy on fruits. The Amazon river basin rain forest contains a wider variety of plant and animal life than any other biome in the world. They live here because the rain forest is rich with nutrients and minerals that make it the ideal location for survival. There is also an abundant supply of food and water located in the forest some eat fruit, plants, meat, insects, or both. There are 40 to 100 different species in 2.5 acres  of a tropical rain forest.
