Clear Cutting

Clear Cutting is a current conflict. Clear cutting is a logging practice that is used to completely clear an area of trees no matter their size. The remaining scraps will then be burned in burn piles and the smoke fills the air for a few days. Clear cutting can be a small process or it can stretch for miles. The environmental impact is caused by the surrounding and nearby area caused by rapidly removing trees. If we cut down so many trees around a body of water the sun will heat up the water and changes and makes it harder to adapt in the water because the trees are there to block some of the sun. Then the fish will the population will decrease caused by heating in bodies of water. The bank loosens and all the dirt and trees go into the river and that will drive the sea life away. Trees take in water and if all the trees around a body of water were cut down there is a higher risk of flooding. Clear cutting also destroys wildlife habitats and then drives them into areas like neighborhoods and cities because their habitat was destroyed. Some animals are endangered and if their habitats are destroyed they may become extinct. Trees give off oxygen and carbon dioxide and filter the atmosphere so if we cut down so many trees the atmosphere will become. Less clean. Many people are trying to get people aware to save trees and the environment.
